NICE presents a series of seminars about problems Nashville’s refugee communities are facing and solutions available.
With a growing demand for mental health education, the Mental Health Seminars for Refugee Communities are to educate Nashville’s refugee communities on solutions for problems that each community is facing. NICE invites community leaders from the refugee populations to attend seminars on issues determined by the communities. The seminars are performed by professionals who have knowledge of the issues and have experience in educating about the subjects. The purpose of the program is to educate to start a conversation within the communities about what it is that is being experienced by people in the communities and what solutions are available
The seminars take place every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Conference Room at Nashville International Center for Empowerment, 3221 Nolensville Pk Ste. 103, Nashville, TN 37211.

February 14 2013: What is the Mobile Crisis Unit and How to Use It – Jennifer Armstrong and Lisa Eggebeen, Centerstone
February 21 2013: The Family Dynamic – Dr. Henderson and Rebecca Swift, Siloam Family Health Center
February 28 2013: Mental Health Part I – Meryl Taylor, Centerstone and Rebecca Swift, Siloam Family Health Center
March 7 2013: Mental Health Part II – Meryl Taylor from Centerstone and Rebecca Swift from Siloam Family Health Center
